So any way 5 hours later (stupid me) I left out of frustration and still sick. As I was leaving, all I asked was for someway of communicating this information in a none public way but was offered a phone number that is out of service. JOKES on Me! I am sure the staff is having a laugh at my expense.

The communication from employees is really bad! I checked in at Tri Point this evening at 6:21 PM, they immediately took my blood pressure and temp so they could bill my insurance, but then nothing. I waited for 2 hours with zero communication from anyone, so I figured I better go make sure my info did not get miss placed or something. I asked the receptionist what was going on and she said I was next to be taken in. After I watched several people go in ahead of me over the next few hours, I asked again and tried to explain that the wait is not really my issue, it is that there was no communication at all. Worse than that, after talking to several people that worked for the hospital, including the receptionist (who thought her cell phone/Facebook was more important than talking to me), the two assistant males that only seemed to hang around the counter doing nothing that I could tell. I talked to two nurses as they grabbed the files of patients that checked in long after me. (by hours, not minutes) I even asked the security guard what he thought and he explained that he gets paid by the hour to listen to complaints and that nothing mattered to him because he gets paid either way.

Unfortunately, between jobs and without insurance I was admitted to the hospital for observation. The results of a test that was completed while I was in the hospital warranted further testing. When I had my insurance information called to schedule the ordered test. The scheduler informed me that I can still schedule the test and that they would verify and pre-authorize my insurance for the testing. Once it was verified, and pre-certed I received a phone call at work from the financial counselor named Debbie who informed me that because of the balance of my hospital admission I needed to pay $1000.00 before I could get the testing completed. Unfortunately, I didn't have the $1000.00 so I wasn't allowed to keep the appointment. I then contacted another hospital who didn't discriminate and allowed me to have the test completed. The test that I needed was truly medically necessary. Hopefully, this type of practice will discontinue so that nobody will have to go through this, especially if they have a serious condition. Never again will I deal with this hospital.

I never bother with reviews but I'm so angry right now that I had to do this one. I just called my friend Barb and she told me how sick she was and what TriPoint had said to her and I was shocked. I called the emergency room myself and told them I was on Medicaid and that I needed to come in and I was told the same thing as Barb was. The woman was beyond rude. I work in a law office and I know that there is a law that says hospitals cannot refuse to treat because of discrimination or insurance or inability to pay and they are not allowed to Patient dump. Will this is exactly what this hospital was doing. How can they call themselves a hospital when they refuse a 61 year old woman on Medicaid medical help that she obviously needs? Judging by the rudeness and the absolute lack of compassion of this woman that answered the phone I would be afraid to go there and it's obvious that barb is not going to get good care. Based on the little research that I did today something should be done about this Hospital. And 8 to 12 hour waiting time is not acceptable and then to tell the patient that the doctor would refuse to treat them is also unacceptable. I am going to try to get my friend Barb Zimmerman some medical help this weekend and I will be looking into this first thing Monday morning.

they treated me like a saint.

absolutely no complaints.

it is also a really nice, impressive building.

i had joint replacement surgery on my hip there, 6/27/17.

WORDS OF CAUTION do not to go to Lake Heath, they really don't care at all!

I posted something about 2 years ago and unfortunately nothing has changed. I have been sick and in pain for hours and I finally decided I couldn't take it anymore and I called the emergency room to tell them that I was coming in I explained to her my condition and that I was coming in alone and very afraid. This time the awful woman that answered the phone said to me let me guess your Medicaid right and I said yes and then she started laughing and I don't know if it was a nurse or another receptionist but she said to this other person here's another one I thought we had our quota of these people today. And then she told me I'm not supposed to say this but she said we only take paying patients and she said because I was Medicaid and I had a disability not even to bother coming in. She told me that my wait time would be at least 8 to 12 hours and then she said most likely the doctor would not treat me so if I were you I wouldn't even bother coming in. I was shocked and horrified that any mergency room could speak to a patient like that and tell someone who is upset and sick and crying that we do not want to treat you because you are Medicaid. I didn't know what to say to this horrible woman. After telling me that they were going to refuse treatment I realized that there was no point in going in and unfortunately because it was Thanksgiving I had no one that could drive me to a better Hospital so now I'm sitting here scared to death sick and in pain and I have no options. Somebody explain to me how this horrible hospital is still in business and how they can justify even calling themselves Hospital. This is disgraceful and I would love to try to find a way to complain but I have a feeling that no one will pay any attention to my complaint just like they didn't pay any attention to my plea for medical care.
